Alan is a certified Feldenkrais Practioner and Teacher and holds both BA and MA degrees in Design and Choreography.
I conduct research and teach classes in The Feldenkrais Method focusing on guided instruction that allows participents the time to observe and question their movement patterns, habits and choices.
I trained at the Feldenkrais International Training Centre in the U.K from 2003-2007, I previously attended The School For New Dance Development in Amsterdam from 1994-1996 where my studies included the skeletal/joint system, movement quality, release technique and composition, earning a Dutch postgraduate diploma in Higher Professional Education. I have taught Movement Research and the Feldenkrais Method in The Netherlands, Italy and the U.K. From 2008 - 2015 I taught as an associate lecturer in the Department of Contemporary Arts at Manchester Metropolitan University and practiced in the Health, Exercise and Active Living Clinic in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science from 2015 to 2016. I am an associate member of the Feldenkrais Guild U.K.
